Welcome to Philosophy 121, Ethics in the Workplace.

This course in business ethics is set to commence. Updates and notifications concerning the posting of new material and similar course related concerns will be conveyed through Blackboard.

The official course webpage is: http://www.icourse.ethicsworkshop.org

Formal assignments and specific dates to follow, at the semester’s official commencement.

Please watch the introductory video below, and then the public lecture below that.

The second video is a public presentation I gave on big data, artificial intelligence and the retail business. It is about 20 minutes long, and we can use it as an informal measure of learning over the semester (This is ungraded! It is just a chance for you to see how you have learned.) So, please watch the video and then comment - just a line or two is fine, more if you wish. You can write it there on the YouTube page, or on your computer/phone whatever. Write whatever comes to mind, I am not going to look for/see it. Then, later in the semester we will look at the video again, and apply some of the theories we have learned, and you will comment again. The idea is that you will be able to see how you have progressed in the ability to talk about important ethical things happening in the business world.
